Social Security Works touts Jon’s commitment to protecting Social Security and lowering prescription drug costs for generations of Americans

BILLINGS – Today, Social Security Works PAC endorsed third-generation dirt farmer Jon Tester in his reelection campaign for U.S. Senate.

“Today we are proud to announce our endorsement of Senator Jon Tester for yet another term from the great state of Montana,” said Social Security Works President Jon “Bowzer” Bauman. “Senator Tester is one of our greatest Social Security champions. He has said that even entertaining the prospect of cutting Social Security or Medicare is a slap in the face to everyone who has earned those benefits throughout their lifetimes, and he has always voted that way as well.”

“I am proud to work alongside Social Security Works to continue defending our seniors’ hard-earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare,” said Senator Jon Tester. “Montanans have paid into Social Security their entire lives and deserve the dignified retirement they’ve earned. I will relentlessly fight to ensure Social Security remains funded not just for today’s seniors, but for generations of hard working Montanans to come.”

Jon Tester has a strong record of fighting for our seniors and defending Social Security. Jon strongly opposes any plan to sunset Social Security, gut funding for Medicare, or fully privatize the health care system. Jon is willing to work with anyone in Congress, Democrats, Republicans, or Independents to make sure Montana’s seniors receive the benefits and health care they earned so they can enjoy their retirement years.
