NEW AD: Montana Veteran Touts Jon Tester’s PACT Act in Veterans Day TV Ad

November 10, 2023

BILLINGS – Ahead of Veterans Day, the campaign for third-generation dirt farmer and U.S. Senator Jon Tester released a new 30-second TV ad, “Never Gave Up,” featuring a Montana veteran who got sick from toxic exposure – but didn’t get the benefits he had earned until Jon Tester passed his PACT Act.

Dave, a veteran from Helena, was exposed to Agent Orange and was denied VA coverage for his health issues for years. In “Never Gave Up,” he and his wife Becky talk about how Jon Tester took up Dave’s fight. After Jon’s PACT Act was signed into law, Dave finally started getting the care he earned.

DAVE: I was exposed to Agent Orange.

BECKY: Dave had been sick for a long time.

DAVE: Like other veterans, I filled out form after form.

But the VA denied coverage because they didn’t believe my health issues were related to toxic exposure.

BECKY: Jon Tester took up Dave’s fight.

Jon never gave up and the PACT Act became law.

Finally, Dave’s getting the full care he earned.

DAVE: No one listened to me before Jon.

BECKY: But that’s what Montanans do for each other.
