NEW DIGITAL VIDEO: Tim Sheehy Admits He Would Be “the Most Junior, Powerless, Useless Person in the Senate”

Campaign News September 28, 2024

Sheehy says he wouldn’t be drafting bills, wouldn’t improve infrastructure in Montana, and would be a useless person for Montanans

BILLINGS – In a new video from the Jon Tester campaign, multi-millionaire out-of-stater Tim Sheehy explains in his own words how useless he would be for Montanans in the U.S. Senate.

The video features audio from multiple events where Sheehy emphasizes how he doesn’t plan on doing anything for Montana if elected, saying:

  • “As a junior senator, I can’t lead legislation. I can’t draft bills. I can’t tell all the leadership what to do.”
  • “I’m not going to promise I’m going to bring you home a billion-dollar new interstate or I’m going to build you a bridge.”
  • “So I will be the most junior, powerless, useless person in the Senate when I get there.”

Montanans should take his word for it, Sheehy won’t fight for Montana.

NARRATOR: Tim Sheehy, in his own words…

TIM SHEEHY:  People ask, “why do you want to be a Senator?” and I say “I don’t know, you know.”

NARRATOR: No Tim, we don’t know either. One can only wonder how you’d help Montana in D.C.

TIM SHEEHY: As a junior senator, I can’t lead legislation. I can’t draft bills. I can’t tell all the leadership what to do.

NARRATOR: Must be something you can do for Montana?

TIM SHEEHY: I’m not going to promise I’m going to bring you home a billion-dollar new interstate or I’m going to build you a bridge.

TIM SHEEHY: So I will be the most junior, powerless, useless person in the Senate when I get there.
