Jon is endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the Montana Alliance for Retired Americans, and Social Security Works

BILLINGS – There is one champion for Montana’s seniors in the Montana Senate race – and it’s Jon Tester. With his lifetime record of defending seniors and the benefits they’ve paid into their entire lives, third-generation dirt farmer Jon Tester is proud to be endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the Montana Alliance for Retired Americans, and Social Security Works.

“Senator Tester stands up for Montana seniors everyday – and has delivered for us. He’s lowered the cost of living, held criminals who attempt to scam older Montanans accountable, and increased access to quality, affordable health care. Tester has spent his career fighting to protect Medicare and Social Security, and he’ll always protect the hard-earned benefits that provide a secure retirement for Montana seniors,” said Jay Reardon, Montana Alliance for Retired Americans President, when the Alliance endorsed Jon earlier this month. “Nobody fights harder or delivers more for older Montanans and working families than Senator Tester. From taking on the big pharmaceutical companies to save Montanans money on their prescription drugs, to relentlessly defending our hard-earned retirements, Jon Tester never shies away from a fight. Montana seniors are lucky to have him in our corner.”

“Let us say this about Senator Tester: Time and again, he has been a leader on seniors’ issues. He has opposed GOP efforts to privatize Social Security and voted to expand Medicare and to lower prescription drug costs,” said the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare PAC in their endorsement. “Every single Republican in the Senate voted against the Inflation Reduction Act. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to predict how Senator Tester’s opponent, Tim Sheehy, would have voted if given the chance to stand up against Big Pharma, Wall Street, and Big Insurance companies.”

“Today we are proud to announce our endorsement of Senator Jon Tester for yet another term from the great state of Montana,” said Social Security Works President Jon “Bowzer” Bauman when announcing the group’s endorsement. “Senator Tester is one of our greatest Social Security champions. He has said that even entertaining the prospect of cutting Social Security or Medicare is a slap in the face to everyone who has earned those benefits throughout their lifetimes, and he has always voted that way as well.”

Jon Tester has a strong record of fighting for our seniors and defending Social Security. Jon strongly opposes any plan to cut Social Security, gut funding for Medicare, or fully privatize the health care system. Jon will continue to fight like hell against any attempt to cut, privatize, or reduce the benefits not just for our seniors today, but to make sure our kids and grandkids have access to them too.
