National Federation of Federal Employees Endorses Jon Tester for U.S. Senate

Campaign News October 10, 2024

BILLINGS – Today, the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), which represents federal employees from the Park Service to wildland firefighters, endorsed third-generation dirt farmer Jon Tester in his reelection campaign for U.S. Senate.

“On behalf of the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), representing more than 110,000 federal employees in Montana and across the country, I am pleased to offer this endorsement for the reelection of Senator Jon Tester,” said Steve Lenkart, NFFE Executive Director. “Senator Tester is a long standing supporter and leader in the fight for a federal civil service that is apolitical, fair, effective, efficient, and, most importantly, free from political overreach and corruption. For these reasons and more, including support for our nation’s wildland firefighters, NFFE offers its full endorsement and support to Senator Tester for a successful re-election campaign season in 2024.”

“Our civil service employees dedicate their careers to serving our country, and Montana,” said Senator Jon Tester. “I’m grateful for NFFE’s endorsement, and from our Park Service employees to our wildland firefighters, I’ll fight like hell for hardworking Montanans and our public servants to ensure they have fair wages, safe working conditions, and quality benefits for themselves and their families.”

Jon Tester has been proud to receive endorsements from groups and Montanans across the state, including Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Montana AFL-CIO, Montana Conservation Voters, Social Security Works, Montana Rural Voters, Montana Sportsmen Alliance, the Veterans Coalition of Northwest Montana, the Montana Alliance for Retired Americans, the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, Montana’s Credit Unions, Big Sky 55+, the National Wildlife Federation, more than 100 Montana Republicans including former Governor Marc Racicot and current elected officials, and more.
